Dynamic Tensile-Compression Rig

Render of the dynamic tensile-compression rig on a lab bench

The Dynamic Tensile-Compression Rig is designed for cyclic tensile-compressive testing of specimens made from metallic and polymeric materials. The use of electric servomotors enables the application of axial forces up to 5 kN within the test specimen, with excitation frequencies of up to 50 Hz. In cyclic mode, the linear displacement of the rig's clamping jaws is ±1 mm, while in static mode, linear displacements of up to ±5 mm can be achieved. The modular design of the Dynamic Rig simplifies its integration into material testing systems utilizing computed tomography techniques.
